About New Vale
New Vale has a mix of cottage-style homes, including a semi-detached bungalow and a refurbished cottage, with sizes from 70 to 102 m². Most have three bedrooms, and two-bed layouts also appear. Several date from the 1920s. One has been modernised and extended to the rear and side, while another is original and well kept with period features such as fireplaces.
New Vale is a short walk from Shankill village, with its shops, cafés, pubs, pharmacies, Tesco Express, Lidl, Centra and local primary and secondary schools. Shankill DART station is about a 14-minute walk, and the Luas at Cherrywood, the N11, the M50 interchange, Dublin bus routes and Aircoach to the airport are close by. Cornelscourt and Dún Laoghaire offer further shopping, and Killiney and Dalkey Hills and Kilbogget and Cabinteely Parks are nearby.
